The Book of Abraham and Kolob

This is a follow-up post to an earlier post

Mormon Witnesses and the Planet Kolob

which I wrongly stated that God lived on a supposed planet called Kolob [Book of Abraham 3:2-3] according to LDS teaching. Of course the issue is not if God resides there or on a planet nearby. The real question is, can one really believe in the validity of this “Lost Book of Abraham”.

Long story short, no.

When one prays about this matter, the testimony of the Holy Spirit says it is false doctrine. I’ll let scripture speak for itself ” until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;” Ephesians 4:13-14
